Objectives:

General - Everything up to this point has been building blocks leading to this project.

Tools and Machines -
-
Reinforce the safe use of machines already used on other projects such as; the planer, jointer, table saw, miter saw, radial-arm saw and possibly other machines as well.

Reinforce the proper use of basic hand tools already used on other projects such as; squares, tape measures, mallets and hammers, drivers, drills, clamps and more.

New Tools and Machines-

After making the front, back and side panels, the students will set up their parts to be cut using the dovetail jig and a router table and execute said cuts.

The students will use either a router table or a table saw to cut the dado and rabbet joints for the bottom panel.

The students will learn to use their materials list and cutting diagram to help in figuring the amount of material needed and how much it will all cost.

The students will place and install the hardware on the tool box such as; metal corners, hinges, handles, and latches.
